According to Le Parisien, Kylian Mbappe has agreed to a new two-year deal in principle, amid reports of strong interest from Real Madrid. The 23-year-old’s contract runs out this summer and has stalled on deciding his future. Speculations suggest that he might be considering a move to Spain.

Le Parisien also reported that Mbappe would earn 50 million euros a year, with a signing-on bonus of 100 million euros. He will reportedly sign a new two-year contract with an option for an additional year. The club has not formally denied the news, but the player’s entourage is tempering expectations. Nevertheless, no one has denied that discussions are at an advanced stage.

PSG’s offer would make the former Monaco man the highest-paid player in football history, but the Frenchman opted to delay his decision until the end of the season. The French club has been trying for months to get Mbappe to commit his future to them, having turned down a huge offer from Real Madrid in January. However, conflicting news emerged as Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on his Twitter page that the rumors of Mbappe agreeing to a deal are just that, rumors.

Mbappe’s mother also debunked said rumors about a new contract with the French outfit. “There’s NO agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain or any other club. Discussions around Kylian’s future continue in great serenity to allow him to make the best choice, in the respect of all the parties.”

Other sources close to Mbappe have also denied any agreement reached with either PSG or Real Madrid. It remains to be seen how this contract saga will unfold as the Frenchman is reportedly still thinking about his future with his family and will decide soon.
