Umbro’s “Away Days” Brings Football Style to the Journey

Away days have always been about more than the 90 minutes. There’s the early start, the train journey, the packed bag and the anticipation of arriving somewhere unfamiliar with your club colours in tow. For Autumn/Winter 2026, Umbro builds its latest Sports Culture collection around that feeling.

“Away Days” looks back to a defining period in football culture, when following English clubs across Europe became its own form of cultural exchange. Trips to Italy brought new surroundings, new influences and, importantly, a different approach to dressing. Football and fashion began to share the same space, with sharper silhouettes and a more considered way of wearing sportswear.

That history sits at the heart of the collection, which draws from the football cultures of Manchester and Milan, mixing Umbro’s sporting heritage with British tailoring and understated Italian style.

Among the standout pieces is the Shersey, a hybrid take on the football shirt that borrows the structure of a formal shirt. There’s also the Pinstripe Drill Top, a trench coat inspired by classic managerial touchline style, alongside relaxed tracksuits, football-inspired knitwear and accessories.

The campaign stays firmly on the move. Rather than focusing on the pitch, Umbro takes us through train stations, platforms, bus stops, luggage and waiting rooms — those familiar moments that make up an away day. It’s a nod to terrace culture and the Casuals movement, where what you wore became part of the ritual.

With Away Days, Umbro isn't simply revisiting football nostalgia. It's looking at the journey, the style and the sense of belonging that has always surrounded following a club.

The collection launches globally in two drops on August 20 and September 10, 2026, through select retailers and local Umbro channels.
