Bayern Munich have signed Matthijs De Ligt from Juventus for €70 million + €10 million in bonuses. The Dutch central defender replaces Niklas Sule who joined Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer. De LIgt has completed his medical and signed a five-year deal with the Bundesliga champions before jetting off to join his teammates on tour in the US.
With Barcelona signing Robert Lewandowski, Bayern had the money to push for a big signing like the Jong Ajax graduate. De Ligt has spent the last three seasons with Juventus after signing from Ajax following THAT 2018/19 Champions League run. The 22-year-old has won one Serie A title and one Coppa Italia during his time in Turin.
Bayern Munich have now signed Sadio Mane, Ryan Gravenberch, Noussair Mazraoui, and Matthijs De Ligt. They are still working on deals for Konrad Laimer and Mathys Tel.
