Juventus accelerating talks for Sassuolo hitman Gianluca Scamacca with Inter Milan and Tottenham interested – Bianconeri have given up on Dusan Vlahovic and Mauro Icardi

Juventus want to sign the 22-year-old Sassuolo striker as early as January

Juventus are pushing to sign Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca in January as they look for a new forward

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have started talks to sign Sassuolo center-forward Gianluca Scamacca in January. The Bianconeri have scored a measly 27 goals in the opening 19 Serie A games of the campaign with Alvaro Morata floundering and Paulo Dybala unfit. The Old Lady wants a new striker and Max Allegri has his eyes on Scamacca. Juventus and Sassuolo have a decent relationship following the transfer of Manuel Locatelli. The clubs are also not so far apart in their valuation. Juventus value the player at 35 million Euros and his club values him at 40 million Euros. A resolution should be easy.

Inter Milan have also been linked to the 22-year-old who has six goals in 19 appearances so far. Antonio Conte led Tottenham too. Scamacca’s number may not be the most encouraging for fans of the Old Lady. He is a brilliant technical striker with good linkup play and heading ability, but he is not yet the player to be donning the black and white jersey. With money proving a problem for the Serie A giants, they cannot afford the 70 million Fiorentina are demanding for Dusan Vlahovic. Erling Haaland is out of their reach, and PSG want to hold on to Mauro Icardi. Scamacca it is. The striker returned to Sassuolo after a successful spell at Genoa last campaign where he scored 12 goals and assisted two more in 29 appearances.

He has appeared twice for the Azzurri, playing and scoring for the youth teams since he joined the u-15 setup and worked his way to the national team.
