Juventus and Adidas Turned Kit Leaks Into the Whole Campaign

Most clubs try to stop their kits leaking before the official reveal. Juventus and Adidas decided to make the leaks the reveal.

For the 26/27 kit launch, the two brands built an entire campaign around the idea of an ongoing investigation treating every unofficial image, every spotted detail, and every unexpected appearance as a clue in a mystery rather than a problem to manage. The result is one of the more creative kit launches in recent memory.

It started with a WWE wrestler. Je'Von Evans walked into the Raw ring in Detroit wearing the Juventus away kit before any official announcement.

Then Kenan Yildiz teased the third kit on his social media channels, a kit that had already been spotted days earlier in Hong Kong, worn by local creators at an Adidas event. The final act played out in Perth, where influencer Ben Black was publicly reprimanded by Alessandro Del Piero himself for spoiling the third kit online.

Different cities, different characters, same thread. Every moment was designed to fuel speculation and pull fans deeper into the story.

The campaign is essentially a detective series where the product is the mystery. Fans, influencers and club figures all become part of the investigation, following clues, piecing together evidence, and staying engaged right up until the final reveal. Luciano Spalletti and media personality Gianluca Gazzoli lead the investigation, blending mystery and humour throughout.

It is a smart move. In an era where almost nothing stays secret before launch day, Juventus and Adidas found a way to make the absence of secrecy work entirely in their favour.

The kit leaked. The campaign won.
