Barcelona have officially announced their four-year £237m sponsorship deal with Spotify that will begin next season. The Spotify brand will appear on the front of the kit of both the men and women’s team while the famous Camp Nou Stadium will be rebranded as Spotify Camp Nou.
Barcelona were in danger of financial collapse early in the season but Joan Laporta has steadied the ship and the books. The departure of Lionel Messi helped ease things too salary-wise and the captains took a massive pay-cut. Xavi has also helped to stabilize the ship on the pitch. The new deal will give them more money to balance their books while enabling them to make some transfers.
