Arsenal complete the signing of Martin Ødegaard from Real Madrid for £30m

Martin Odegaard completes his transfer from Real Madrid to Arsenal on a permanent basis

Arsenal have completed the signing of Norway international Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid. The fee is in excess of 30 million Pounds. The captain of Norway spent last year on loan with the gunners and made 20 appearances for the club. He signed a five-year deal with the London club and will take the number 8 shirt. Odegaard is the youngest player to play for Real Madrid & Norway. He will be Arsenal’s fourth signing of the season following the arrivals of Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, and Ben White. They are also set to sign Aaron Ramsdale for 24 million and the fee could rise to 30.

His boss Mikel Arteta was enthused by Odegaard’s signing: “He is still a really young man but he has huge experiences in clubs already. He has unique talents for the way we want to play so I am really pleased the club have made the effort.”
