West Ham have had a bid of €35M + €5M add ins accepted by Lille for Amadou Onan

West Ham have agreed on a deal with Lille to sign Belgian midfielder Amadou Onana according to Journalist Saber Desfarges. The player will cost €35 million plus an additional five in add-ons.

David Moyes’s side will now work on agreeing on personal terms with Onana after concluding with Les Dogues. The 20-year-old joined the club from Hamburg for €8 million and was one of the positives in what was a disappointing Ligue 1 title defence.

Onana had four years left on his contract with the French club, and the club had rejected two lowball offers for the player. Lille were under no pressure to sell after receiving a lofty fee from Newcastle United for Sven Botman.

Despite the arrival of Flynn Downes from Swansea, the Hammers have moved to sign another central midfielder to appease Moyes. The 6ft5 Belgian international is an expert at breaking up attacks and shielding the backline. He is reportedly excited about a move to London.
