With the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 on the horizon, PUMA and the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) have unveiled ITRI the tournament’s official match ball, crafted as a tribute to Morocco’s rich artistic heritage and the continent’s vibrant football culture.
Blending heritage and high performance, the ball takes inspiration from zellij, Morocco’s centuries-old mosaic art form known for its intricate, hand-cut geometric patterns. The design weaves this traditional craftsmanship into a modern football identity a celebration of artistry, unity, and movement.

The red and green palette mirrors the nation’s flag, while petal motifs represent celebration and growth which is a nod to the festive spirit that defines the tournament. The ball’s circular symmetry speaks to the coming together of 24 nations, reflecting the tournament’s ethos of connection and continental pride.
The name ITRI itself means star a tribute to the emblem on Morocco’s flag and the celestial motifs central to zellij design. It’s a fitting symbol for a ball that carries the dreams and energy of African football’s biggest stage.

This is a merge of craft, culture, and competition into one stunning piece of innovation ready to shine under Moroccan skies.
