Pernille Harder earns Chelsea Champions League win over Juventus

Chelsea earn first win of Champions League Group stage after a 69th minute goal from Danish Pernille Harder.

The win means that Chelsea now has four points from two games in Group A after a 3-3 result with Wolfsburg in their opener.

Harder‘s past 3 games for Chelsea has been really impressive with an injury time equalizer vs Wolfsburg, 82nd minute opening goal against Leicester and this great performance at Turin.

The Denmark International was praised by coach Hayes:

She had an outstanding performance,” said Hayes of Harder, who joined Chelsea in the summer of 2020. “She came to this football club, England is a difficult country to come to, it’s already an amazing team, and she’s taken us to an even higher level because her standards day in and day out are what every young person should look up to. She takes responsibility, she’s accountable, she’s there when it really matters, she’s there for this team and I’m so delighted she’s part of this squad.”
