England attacker Raheem Sterling has joined Chelsea from Manchester City for £47.5 Million both parties have confirmed. The move comes after seven successful seasons in Manchester in which the 27-year-old attacker won 11 titles. He contributed 235 goals & assists in over 300 appearances for the Citizens. No one made more appearances under Pep Guardiola than Sterling and he also had the most goal contributions under the Spanish manager at City.
For Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel will be getting a bonafide attacker with bags of experience and goals. Tuchel’s side has struggled to create and score as many goals as Manchester City & Liverpool. Sterling is here to help close that gap. He is also an electric figure in attack, something the blues lacked in front with their static attackers. He is also the first signing of Chelsea’s Todd Boehly/Clearlake era following the departure of Roman Abramovich.
Welcome to Chelsea, Raz!
