Marcelo Brozovic extends his contract with Inter Milan until 2026

The 29-year-old was in the final months of his current deal but the Nerazzurri have extended it

Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has signed a new contract at Inter Milan until June 2026 and he will earn around €6m-a-year, the club has announced. The 29-year-old defensive midfielder has been at the heart of everything for the Nerazzurriin midfield since coming from Dinamo Zagreb eight years ago. The club was in danger of losing the Serie A champion and World Cup finalist for free this summer but he has signed a contract extension that will see him stay on.

Since arriving in 2015, Brozovic has ranked first for touches, successful passes and successful passes in the opposition half in the Italian Serie A. He ranks third for tackles and second for second assists too. Brozovic has become one of the best midfielders around with his ability to control the game and dictate the tempo for Inter. He is one of the most progressive midfielders around and his defensive work rate is so good. Congrats on the extension to Inter and the player!
