James Rodriguez joins Qatari side Al-Rayyan SC from Everton

James Rodriguez has completed a switch from Everton to Qatari team Al-Rayyan SC on a three-year deal

World Cup 2014 breakout star James Rodriguez has signed a deal to join Qatari side Al-Rayyan SC from Everton. When Rafa Benitez took over at Everton this summer, he decided to let the 30-year-old go. His fitness record + attitude issues + 200,000 Pounds in wages stood against him. James tried to move in the summer but moves to Porto, AC Milan, and Basaksehir did not go through. Al-Rayyan SC have opened their arms to the Colombian playmaker who wants to play. James has not played a single minute for Everton in over four months. He will join Laurent Blanc’s team on a three-year deal.

James scored six goals and assisted nine at Everton since Carlo Ancelotti convinced him to sign from Real Madrid. He has won 19 trophies and competed at top clubs. From Envigado to Banfield to FC Porto, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Everton. Best of luck James!
