Chelsea set to sign 18-year-old Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire

Chelsea are set to sign 18-year-old goalkeeping talent Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire according to Fabrizio Romano. He will cost £10 million.

The London club has beaten off interest from Real Madrid to sign the Illinois-born youngster.

Gabriel Slonina is the youngest starting goalkeeper in league history at 17 years, 81 days. He is also the youngest goalkeeper to record a clean sheet in the MLS.

Slonina will stay on loan at Chicago Fire and join Chelsea on January 1.
