23-year-old Belgian attacker Dodi Lukebakio has joined Wolfsburg from Hertha BSC on loan. Last week, he scored against the Wolves, and this week he signs for them. He has 16 goals and 13 assists in 67 appearances for the team from the capital city.
Lukebakio said: “Wolfsburg are a big team in Germany and impressed me with their team spirit last season, and also most recently playing against them with Hertha. I think I’ll fit into the team very well. I’m really excited about the club and can’t wait to play for Wolfsburg. It’s an absolute dream for me to be able to play in the Champions League with them.”
Wolfsburg Sporting Director Marcel Schäfer said: “We’re very happy that Dodi has decided to tackle the challenges that await us this season together. We’re convinced that his qualities can help us achieve our goals.”
Wolfsburg currently top the Bundesliga table and they will face Greuther Fürth on September 12 after the international break. Lukebakio could make his debut then.
