The controversial and unusual 2019/2020 season will come to an end very soon, with the Balon D’or already cancelled, all eyes are on individual accolades, so is the prestigious award for the highest goal scorer in top national leagues, THE EUROPEAN GOLDEN SHOE, which many set out for, but can only be won by a few


Who would make it to the end.
With the German Bundesliga and Spanish La Liga Santander having ended earlier, top goalscorer and current leader in the race for the European Golden Shoe, Robert Lewandowski would be counting down the weeks till the end of other leagues while sitting pretty with 34 goals from 31 games.
Although, other leagues are still active and eyes are on these contenders to see if they can beat or reach this mark
in less than five games to go.

At this point, there are only two players who have the higher ground when it comes to catching up with
Lewandowski, and they are the highest goal scorers in the Italian Seria A.
Ciro Immobile, who has been the top scorer in Italy in the 2013-14 and 2017-18 seasons is looking to
win the award for the first time in his career, with his 30 goals from 33 league games so far.


Another worthy contender is four time Winner, Cristiano Ronaldo, who is also looking to grab the
award after missing out for the past five years. He would be looking to add to his tally of 30 goals after
30 matches
as he leads La Vecchia Signora to a record ninth consecutive Scudetto.
The Italian Seria A comes to an end on the 2nd of August, 2020, with Juventus hosting AS Roma at
home, while Lazio travels to SSC Napoli and we shall then see who is the king of goal scoring for the
2019/2020 season.
