Okoye Excited On Making His Debut for Super Eagles against Brazil, Says its a Dream Come True

Maduka Okoye, the goalkeeper who replaced injured Francis Uzoho at the Super Eagles in Sunday’s friendly encounter against Brazil,, has expressed his excitement over his International debut.

Expressing his delight in a tweet, Okoye tagged his debut for the super eagles as a dream come true.

The game which ended in a one all draw saw the super eagles of Nigeria taking the lead with a goal from Joe Aribo in the 35th minute of the game, however an early goal in the second half helped the South American side to level up the scoreline.

“Glad to have made my debut for Nigeria, It’s a dream come true playing for my beloved country Now it’s time to work even harder! Wishing my brother @Uzohof a speedy recovery Thank you Nigeria!” a tweet by Okoye read.

The Fortuna Dusseldorf goalkeeper Maduka Okoye who is happy to make his first appearance for the Super Eagles in Sunday’s friendly, looked calm in goal and proved equal to the task against a star studded Brazilian side.

Okoye replaced injured Francis Uzoho in the 65th minute of the thrilling encounter played at the at Singapore National Stadium, Kallang.

Following his debut for the super eagles, the 20-year-old is also determined to become a regular in the team.

Okoye will now hope to make Super Eagles squad for next month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
