Liverpool Captain Jordan Henderson Could Leave The Club This Summer

Could Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson be on his way out of the club?

After 10 years at Liverpool, club captain Jordan Henderson could leave the Merseyside club this summer. This is according to The Athletic. They believe PSG & Atletico Madrid are sniffing around the midfielder who has two years left on his current contract. There appears to be an impasse regarding the English midfielder’s new deal. Talks started towards the end of last season but there is no progress so far. The former Sunderland midfielder could leave to find his last big contract elsewhere.

The news does not bode well for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp as they already lost a key component of their gegenpressing midfield this summer. Gini Wijnaldum left Liverpool on a free transfer to join PSG after failing to agree a new contract. Could Jordan Henderson be next? Michael Edwards will be keen to renew the midfielder’s contract and to stop him from leaving. It will be interesting to see how he can appease the midfielder’s demands.
