EPL Round Up: Manchester City Demolishes Watford as, Leicester City Defeat Tottenham

After suffering a 3-2 defeat at Norwich last weekend, defending champions of the EPL Manchester City have made Watford a scape goat, defeating them 8-0 at Etihad stadium.

Manchester City went 5-0 up 18 minutes into the first half with goals from David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Riyad Mahrez, Bernando Silva and Otamendi. However there was no goal scored in the remaining 27 minutes of the first half.

The second half saw Bernando silver scoring twice to earn himself a hat rick and Kevin De Bruyne wrapping closing the goal scoring festival at the 85th minute, giving the Pep Guardiola led team an 8-0 win over their visitors.  

In another fixture, Leicester City defeated North London side Tottenham by 2 goals to one.

The game started with the visitors taking the lead with a goal from Harry Kane 29 minutes in to the game, however 65th minute goal from Ricardon Periera and late goal from James Maddison helped the Leicester city to move to the second position in the league standing.                

At Merseyside, Alex Iwobi made a substitute appearance as Everton went down to a 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield United in their Premier League clash at the Goodison Park on Saturday, reports Completesports.com.

Iwobi took the place of France midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin in the 55th minute.

The Nigeria international has now made four league appearance for Everton this season with one goal to his name.

Centre-back, Yerry Mina conceded an own goal five minutes before the break. Lys Mousset scored the visitors’ second goal in the 79th minute.

In other fixtures, Burnley edged out Norwich City 2-0 with Chris Wood scoring a brace at the Turf Moor, while the game between Newcastle United and Brighton ended in a goaless draw.
