Chelsea striker Timo Werner could rejoin RB Leipzig on loan this summer. The clubs are negotiating for the German striker who is ready to take a pay-cut to make the transfer happen.

Chelsea have signed Raheem Sterling and could add another forward before the window shuts as Thomas Tuchel tries to bolster his squad.

Werner would like to search for game time elsewhere with the World Cup drawing closer. He would ideally want to make Hansi Flick’s team for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

One person who would love to have Turbo Timo back in Chelsea is his former strike partner, Youssuf Poulsen.

Poulsen on Timo Werner to RB Leipzig rumors: “I hope he is coming back. He is a good player. We are a team that is trying to take the next step and develop into one of the biggest clubs in Europe. You need quality players for that. We formed a good partnership in the past.”

Werner will be a very solid option for Domenico Tedesco’s side as they aim to topple Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in his first full season in charge of die roten bellen.

The player has lost a lot of confidence and composure since joining the blues, and his old environment might do him some good. A deal is being discussed between both clubs.

Juventus have also sounded out interest in the player, but they have their eyes set on Alvaro Morata and Memphis Depay.
